A Lifetime of Service
Dr. Isaac L. Williams has spent a lifetime serving others through military leadership, ministry, education, and community service. He is now seeking to continue that service as a candidate for the Escambia County School Board, District 3.

Why He Is Running

Dr. Williams believes District 3 deserves leadership that listens, remains visible, and is accountable to students, parents, educators, and the community. He understands that strong schools require responsible oversight, transparent decision-making, support for teachers, meaningful parent involvement, and a commitment to helping every child succeed.

Rooted in Public Education

Born and raised in Greenwood, Florida, Dr. Williams is a proud product of public schools. He understands firsthand how strong teachers, caring mentors, and a quality education can change the direction of a child’s life.

Supporting Local Students and Schools

Dr. Williams has remained involved with local students, families, and schools throughout Escambia County. Through Greater True Vine Baptist Church, Dr. Williams has supported students and families at Global Learning Academy through annual Back-to-School, Christmas, and Summer Release drives. These efforts have provided encouragement and needed resources to students while strengthening the connection between the school, families, and the community. His experience as a mentor, parent advocate, pastor, and community leader has allowed him to hear directly from students, parents, educators, and families.

Education and Academic Achievement

Dr. Williams earned degrees from Tallahassee Community College, Florida State University, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, where he earned his Doctor of Ministry degree and graduated Magna Cum Laude.

His academic journey reflects his commitment to lifelong learning, discipline, leadership, and service.

Military Leadership

Dr. Williams proudly served 23 and a half years in the military, retiring from the United States Marine Corps as a Legal/Personnel Chief Warrant Officer.

While stationed at NAS Pensacola from 1997 until his retirement in 2001, he developed a strong connection to Escambia County and the families who call it home. His military service strengthened his commitment to integrity, accountability, teamwork, and responsible leadership.

Continued Community Service

Following his military retirement, Dr. Williams continued serving others as a Chaplain Supervisor with the Florida Department of Corrections. Since 2004, he has served as Pastor of Greater True Vine Baptist Church in Pensacola, where he has provided spiritual leadership, supported families, mentored young people, and worked to strengthen the community.

Faith, Family, and Community

Dr. Williams and his wife, Janie, have been married for 46 years and are blessed with two children and a grandson. As a veteran, pastor, husband, father, grandfather, mentor, and community servant, Dr. Williams is committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
